Take an effortless meander to the Dunes restaurant, less than a minute's walk from One on Beach, whenever you feel like a tasty breakfast, sushi for lunch or refreshing cocktails to wind down after another blissful day.

Dunes is a casual and truly authentic 'beach bar', with rustic wooden tables nestled in white sand, uninterrupted views of the bay and a variety of good, hearty cuisine - strongly emphasizing fresh seafood. It's not a holiday until you've had a mojito on the beach!

  • Chapman's Peak Hotel - renowned for its fresh seafood, beautiful views and relaxed ambience. A well-loved favorite amongst Capetonians, its calamari is the stuff of legend.
  • Pakalolo - don't expect haute cuisine, but if it's a plate of tasty nachos you're after, Pakalolo may satisfy your cravings. A Hawaiian-style beach bar very close to One on Beach, Pakololo offers you the opportunity to pretend you are on an island, mingle with the locals and enjoy a Pina Colada in the afternoon sunshine.

  • Ice Dream - authentic Italian Gelateria serving a dazzling array of hand-made ice cream. No better place to visit on a sweltering Summer's day!
  • Allegria Cafe - casual bistro style dining, perfect for a delicious 'Eggs Benedict' to start off the day or a light meal for lunch. Excellent coffee and great service, this bustling cafe is an every-day haunt for locals who appreciate a decent espresso and a friendly atmosphere.

  • The Lookout - fantastic position in the Hout Bay harbor, family-friendly cuisine, good pizzas, fresh seafood and easygoing ambience.
  • Fish on the Rocks - this humble fish and chips shop boasts a loyal fan base from far and wide - no visit to Hout Bay would be complete without experiencing their crispy hake fillets and delectable, warm potato chips.

  • Tintswalo Atlantic - simply unbeatable venue for tranquil sundowners. Boutique hotel situated alongside Chapman's Peak Drive, perched on the edge of the ocean, this is unspoiled nature at its finest. Essential to call in advance.
  • Suikerbossie Restaurant - an all-time favorite, Suikerbossie has an unpretentious atmosphere, great views and a reputation for good scones. A lovely spot for afternoon tea overlooking Hout Bay or for a traditional Sunday lunch.

  • La Parada Constantia Nek - for a lively atmosphere, addictive Spanish tapas, excellent selection of cocktails and cosy decor, look no further than La Parada, Constantia Nek.
  • La Colombe - one of Cape Town's most highly regarded restaurants, La Colombe is a foody paradise. Expect fine dining of the highest calibre - booking essential.
  • Beau Constantia - with sweeping views of an elegant vineyard, the Chef's Warehouse restaurant at Beau Constantia has become a haven for connoisseurs of contemporary, minimalist fine dining. Also a great spot for a leisurely day of wine tasting and cheese-nibbling.
  • The Cellars Hohenhort - approximately 20 - 25 minutes drive from One on Beach, the Cellars Hohenhort is a hidden gem of gourmet cuisine, historical buildings, majestic gardens and serene luxury. The Conservatory is a lovely lunch venue, with its sumptuous views of the ancient oak trees (some of the oldest in South Africa), whilst the Green House is a slightly more formal dining destination and has won numerous culinary awards. A hidden gem.
  • Monkey Valley - situated in Noordhoek, Monkey Valley is a blissful, rustic retreat from the demands of every day life. Their Thorfynnn's restaurant offers hearty, local cuisine and is situated underneath the gnarled trunks of milk wood trees, overlooking the splendor of Long Beach, Noordhoek. A worthwhile visit.
  • Cape Point Vineyards - also situated in Noordhoek, the Cape Point Vineyards provide a picnic spot with a distinctly unique quality: a view of the ocean, whilst situated in a vineyard! A short 20 - 25 minute drive from One on Beach via the awe-inspiring Chapman's Peak Drive.
